What is that look that comes over a woman’s face when she
looks at herself in a mirror wearing a garment that is utterly
wonderful? For some it's a shy grin, for others a full face
smile before they begin to swirl and preen before the mirror.
That look contains the awareness that “Wow! I really am
beautiful,” and it is the reason why my career is such a
sustaining delight to me. I get to see that look every time I
bring my wares to a gathering of women. Helping women to
recognize their beauty--whether by means of a perfect fit in a
dress, a curve in a pattern of velvet that mimics the wave in
a woman’s hair, or a pendant of labradorite that exactly
matches a woman’s eyes--is a joyful mission for me. I get such
pure satisfaction when a woman looks in the mirror and really,
really likes what she sees. ---Mona Betz
